Ghar Aa Maahi: Bandish Bandits’ 2’s 1st song is perfect blend of classical, pop music

The first song from Bandish Bandits Season Two, titled Ghar Aa Maahi, was unveiled on November 15. The track is picturised on the series’ protagonists, Radhe (Ritwik Bhowmik) and Tamanna (Shreya Chaudhry), capturing the essence of their evolving relationship.
Performed by Digvijay Singh Pariyar and Nikhita Gandhi, Ghar Aa Maahi masterfully fuses Hindustani classical music with Western pop, echoing the innovative musical blend of Sajan Bin from the first season. Drawing inspiration from Raag Bhimpalasi, the song seamlessly weaves Hindi and English lyrics, adding a modern flair to its classical roots.
With its rich musicality and emotional depth, Ghar Aa Maahi sets the tone for the highly anticipated second season, promising another captivating journey of music and love.

Composed by Ana Rehman, penned by Shubham Shirule. Ghar Aa Maahi also brings together traditional instruments like sarangi and tabla with contemporary guitar and bass.
Upon being asked about the song, Digvijay Singh Pariyar, “There’s an emotional resonance in Ghar Aa Maahi that I believe will touch audiences deeply. As a singer, it was incredible to dive into this fusion of classical rhythms and modern beats. This song, like the show, celebrates the power of music to bridge divides.”
Produced by Amritpal Singh Bindra, and directed by Anand Tiwari, the show will see the return of its original cast including Ritwik Bhowmik, Shreya Chaudhry, Sheeba Chaddha, Atul Kulkarni, Rajesh Tailang, and Kunaal Roy Kapur, along with new cast members, Divya Dutta, Rohan Gurbaxani, Yashaswini Dayama, Aaliyah Qureshi, and Saurabh Nayyar in pivotal roles. Bandish Bandits Season 2 will exclusively premiere on December 13 on Prime Video.
